Darryl Berry has always been fascinated with glass and the processes used to shape it. He began working with stained glass in 1980, but his true interest was in learning to work with heating and shaping glass. Eventually, he met Mary O’Shea, a Key West artist who specializes in kiln-formed glass, and she opened the doors to a new creative world. Since that meeting, he has travelled around the country working in the nation’s top glass studios, studying and collaborating with top glass artists from around the world.

Darryl is proud to now have glass in private and corporate collections on four continents. He has created sculptural and architectural installations for religious, medical, and other public spaces.

A trained musician with a degree from Miami University of Ohio, Darryl uses the same approach when creating a piece of glass, as he would use to compose music. “When you find the right balance of harmony and dissonance, you create something beautiful.”

Darryl Berry operates his studio in Trenton, OH, and offers lessons and fusing supplies to other area glass artists.
